For more than 40 years, we have been fortunate in being a part of the wonderful community of Larchmont. The door of our business has welcomed so many wonderful people and a sprinkling of celebrities who we were fortunate to know and have as customers. The foundation of Auto Sound Specialists has always been focused on providing excellent service and technical ability to everyone who has come through our door.

 

But, it's time to say good-bye, at least to our retail location.

We’ve witnessed many changes, not just in our industry but in life, as well. The windows of our business have been that proverbial window on the world when, during the Gulf War, we filled the tree outside our store with yellow ribbons in support of our troops. Years after that, boys walking home from Hommocks School managed to launch a toy airplane into the same tree and one of our staff eagerly assisted by grabbing a ladder to retrieve the toy. And with the horrific tragedy on September 11, 2001, we proudly displayed the largest American flag we could find on our building…and we prayed for the thousands of precious lives lost.

We will miss so many familiar faces as we now close that door and move strictly in a wholesale direction for automotive accessory sales and service, a mobile one, servicing several of our car dealers with on-site installations. Meanwhile, our residential and commercial branch, Sight & Sound Specialists, maintains a busy schedule with sales and service for Audio, Video, Surveillance and more!
